Why is it important to have better conversations?
This Open Badge is awarded to people who understand the importance of having better conversations and the impact this has on a persons ability to be involved in decisions that affect their own care and wellbeing.
This Open Badge course will be especially relevant to social care staff who carry out assessments as part of their role. It looks at how different conversations between the practitioner and the supported person can result in very different outcomes for the individual. It explores how a “service led” assessment approach differs from an “outcome focused” approach.
