Shaping the future: Participant 2017
This badge will be awarded to Newly Qualified Social Workers who attend the Shaping the Future conference on 5 May 2017.
Shaping the Future is a conference for final year social work students and newly qualified social workers to be held at Robert Gordon University Aberdeen on 5 May 2017.
The conference will examine:
- what it is like to transition from University into the world of work as a Newly Qualified Social Worker
- how to develop as an effective professional in a world that is ever changing
- how to negotiate the new, the old, the emotions, the learning, the stress, the opportunities and still make a difference.
Participants should be more informed about tools and resources to support them and more empowered as a frontline professional.
To earn this Open Badge you will need to:
- register to attend the 2017 Shaping the Future: being the best we can be conference
- attend the conference on 5 May 2017 and sign the attendance register.

You do not need to provide any evidence for this badge. However, you will need to sign the attendance register at the conference and provide a valid email address when registering to receive your badge. Participants will be confirmed by the SSSC Digital Learning Team and badges will be issued to them following the event.
