Personal Care for Feet
This Open Badge is intended for people in a variety of care settings and focuses on supportive foot care and monitoring to allow the provision of personal footcare needs for those not able to undertake this task for themselves.
- Describe what is meant by personal footcare
- Provide clarity on the services and interventions that NHS podiatry services offer
- Provide information on the educational resources available which offer help and support both for individuals and care providers in the provision of personal footcare
-
To remind providers of personal care of the tasks involved in delivering personal care of the feet.
Familiarising yourself with the content of this educational resource and the application of the learning will improve the quality of life for those who cannot undertake personal footcare themselves and also potentially prevent foot problems including pain, falls, ulceration and infection.
