This badge addresses the skills required to develop your knowledge and understanding about how to recognise information and data as tools (data analytics) to improve health and care value and purpose.
This badge covers introductory issues developing and understanding of:
- Using information predictions in health and social care settings.
- How information will change society/health/social care – Fourth Industrial Revolution.
- Supporting care through professionally selected information sources appropriate for a diverse range of individuals.
- Recognising robust systems and information potential.
- Innovative digital development and team building.
You should provide a written account covering the following:
- Information and data analytics are tools to improve health and care but their use must demonstrate a value and purpose which benefits all those working in or being served by health and care.
We would like you to develop a proposal for suitable technological interventions appropriate to your practice context.
Consider the following in your proposal:
- How useful the unbiased analytics could prove to be (e.g. use of AI) to support proactive health and care based on ‘good data’.
- How these interventions progress the aim for more patient centric collaborative care and allow a refocus for staff from less reactive care.
