This is badge is no longer available. It has been replaced by Foundations for practice: Communication and relationships.
Care and support take place through communication and the helping relationships that are developed with people. There are many aspects of a helping relationship but to build a good one requires lots and lots of communication, including listening, empathy (putting yourself in the other person’s shoes) and being genuine.
To earn this badge you will need to:
- work through the Communication and Relationships app
- tell us about how using the app helped develop your knowledge and understanding of the topic
- tell us how you have or intend to apply this knowledge in your day to day practice.
