SCMA Childminders: Let’s Be Friends
Bullying, or the fear of bullying, is a major concern for children and for their parents, and it can happen anywhere that children come together. It is abusive behaviour that damages the lives of those involved – whether they are being bullied, witnessing it or doing it. Everyone who works with children and young people has a responsibility to keep them safe and promote their welfare. This programme has been designed to help Childminders play their part in this effectively and appropriately.
This Open Badge is awarded to Childminders who demonstrate their understand of bullying behavior and how they may prevent it. Childminders as a result of achieving this badge, be able to recognise and respond to bullying and ascertain best practice.
