This Open Badge is designed to support Childminders to understand the importance of ensuring they provide a safe environment for children to develop and grow. · Define and provide a safe environment.
· Meet the requirements of the Health and Social Care Standards.
To earn this badge you will need to:

Tell us the following:
- What is your understanding of the importance of identifying and managing health and safety issues and current best practice?
- Explain what a safe environment should look like and measures you will take to ensure your environment is safe at all times, whilst meeting the requirements of the Health and Social Care Standards.
