SCMA Childminders: Child-Led Planning
This Open Badge is awarded to Childminders who can demonstrate their understanding on how to plan to meet children's needs in all areas of development, so that each child can reach their full potential. Children are happy and fulfilled if their needs are being met. Planning helps us meet these needs.
Completing this Open Badge will enable participants to develop their understanding on the importance of and having support to design and develop a practical planning system that is appropriate to their setting and responsive to the children’s needs.
Childminders should be able to demonstrate
· how planning can support children’s development and enrich their experience.
· that they have child led planning and individual care plans to meet the needs of children in their care.
To earn this badge you will need to:

Stick to the criteria and don’t mention anything that isn’t relevant to it.
Remember, the evidence you provide will be viewable by anyone who you show your badge to. Please don’t include confidential or private information within your evidence.
