The Adult Support and Protection (Scotland) Act 2007 requires that professionals work together to identify and protect adults at risk of harm. It is the responsibility of all staff to recognise concerns and be familiar with reporting protocols.
To earn this badge you will need to:
- Read the following policies found in your Support in Mind Scotland Staff Handbook:

Confidentiality policy
- In your workplace:
Source your local Adult Support and Protection protocol and
read the reporting procedures listed in the document
- Read the ‘Am I at Risk?’ case studies or telephone scenarios on the staff area of the Support in Mind Scotland website

Identify risk indicators and either write a brief overview of these in your learning log or discuss your findings with your line manager.
