1. Learning Challenge activity 2020
This Open Badge is awarded to professionals who complete a learning activity, understand how this can help them in their work and share what they learned with others. It is one of six badges contributing to our Learning Challenge 2020 badge.
With this Open Badge, you are free to choose both the topic you learn about and the source you learn from. It’s your opportunity to get recognition for learning that isn’t already covered by any other SSSC Open Badge.
This is one of six activity badges contributing to the completion of the SSSC Learning Challenge 2020. Collect all six to demonstrate a serious commitment to your continuous professional development.
March 2021 – This badge is no longer accepting new applications.
To earn this badge, you will need to:
- read the challenge activity guide if you have not already done so
- tell us about the topic and learning activity you have chosen (50 words minimum)
- tell us about three things you learned and why each of these is important to (a) you and (b) people who use your service (150 words minimum)
- tell us how you will use what you learned in your day to day work to develop and improve your practice as a social service worker (125 words minimum)
- tell us what you did to share what you learned with others (25 words minimum).
We will return applications that fail to show how you met all these criteria.
You must achieve both the Getting started with Open Badges and Writing evidence for Open Badge applications badges before you apply for this one.
Read the challenge activity guide for a detailed explanation of what we expect to see within your evidence submission.
Never include confidential or private information within your evidence. What you submit will be assessed and presented to everyone who you show your badge to.
