1a Digital Capabilities Assessment CPL Badge
This badge is awarded to people working in social services in Scotland who complete the Digital Capabilities Assessment and reflect on their digital skills, how they apply them in practice and their plans for future development.
The Digital Capabilities Assessment is a short survey developed by the Scottish Government, COSLA and the SSSC. It takes around 15 minutes to complete and gives you a personal report that helps you understand your current digital skills and identify areas for development. By earning this badge, you’ll show that you’ve taken the time to assess your digital capabilities and think carefully about what they mean for your professional practice.
You must not use any generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools to plan, write or improve your evidence for this badge.
To be awarded this badge, you must:
- Completed the digital capabilities assessment.
- Write a reflection, of at least 200 words covering:
- What digital capabilities have you identified as strengths.
- How you are applying these capabilities in your practice.
- What digital skills and capabilities you would like to develop next and why.
There is a maximum word count for this badge of 600 words.
Your learning can be attributed to the core SSSC CPL core learning elements of Wellbeing and Support, Knowledge for your role, and Reflective practice.
